Season: Spring at Shari's

I was visiting my friend Shari Carter yesterday and she had a tray of primroses--I love primroses--on her kitchen counter. More indoor signs of spring! Posted by Picasa

Beautiful. Yes I love primroses too. I am wondering if you used your macro lens on these. Have you done any real close up work with it yet?

I took this with my wide angle lens!

My macro was my ONLY lens for a while and is an EXCELLENT lens--I love it and have done lots of work with it. Most of the flowers I poted at BP were taen with it. In fact, most of the PICTURES of any kind were taken with it at first.

I also have several macros with the Nikons (film camera) and have done lots of macro work--I used to do slide lectures on wildflowers for years.

Oh sorry Mary. I can't believe I did it 3 times. I didn't think it looked like it was with a macro lens and so that was why I thought I was asking Val if she'd done close up work with her new one.
I would absolutely love to have a macro but worry that I would spend even longer taking photos if I had one. I would really love to get up much closer to flowers sometimes.

My macro gets REALLY REALLY close! I love it--if I could only have one lens, it might be that one. BUT I didn't have it on because I was taking indoor pix. Snappies.

I guess I should start signing the pi again. LOL!

We have MUD too, in fact, I posted mud to BP today, LOL!!!!!

Mud and blackbirds singing is our spring so far, BUT, it is supposed to snow again for the next few days!

The primroses are OUTSIDE flowers that haven't been planted outside yet. Theya re a little bit like African Violets in general appearance.
