I am still confused about high and low key. (Am I getting stupid in my dotage?)

Why not?

I don't know anything about it! It's all new to me.

Come on, play along. High key is bright and low key is dark. It's jst the three of us, and you can set something up.

Or not. If you don't want to, don't.

I'm cracking up here over Val's comment!!!
This is rather like the blind leading the blind!
I have no idea how you became so fixated on high and low key Mary but I am sure you will have some idea of what it is by June 25th!!
This is a moody low key picture!

I kept seeing people on BP refer to it and didn't know what they were taling about and suddenly I wanted to know. I do get fixated on things, though.

DO you think this succeeds at being low key?

I know you just said so, so I'll feel somewhat relieved. I was afraid the flwoer might be too bright.

I suppose it depends which definition you go by! The only one I remember is that the main subject should be either high key or low key. So probably this is too bright, but it is very nice. I kind of think low key is going to look miserable and this does not look miserable!
