I absolutely love this Mary. It is a winner for me. Fantastic composition and such a wonderful pose. I love the way he has his little claws firmly clasped around the drooping grass head!

Thanks so much, Kate. This was at Metrobeach and I think we may have been near his nest. He was hanging around singing and squawking and flitting from reed to reed near us for a long time so we were able to get a number of pictures (but this was the best fo the series, I think).

amazing you got this phot with a bird that flits about. I also like the intricate claws grasping the reed thingamy. good composition. nice photo.
