Sunflower Seven

Sunflower Seven, an attempt at a high-key sunflower, not sure it succeeded. Maybe not quite high key enough. Mary Stebbins Taitt, click image to view larger. Posted by Picasa

Well I like it but would possibly like to see the shadows not so faded then they might balance with the deeper colours of the seedy middle.
But then I spent all morning trying to change my poster to someone's suggestion. I learnt a lot but it looked awful and I went back almost to the original.

I have had that happen with poems in poetry workshops, very frustratting--you make all the suggested changes and come out with a mish mash and end up mostly going back to how it was. Well--I was playing and had to try it! (?)

Thanks so much, Val! :-D

I printed some of these to donate to Vera House and the Westcott Gallery fundraising sale, I hope they like them!
