He loooks a lot of fun and helps me to keep cool when I look at him. A good opportuntiy to give you an update on my 11 ducklings. The adults seems to have abandoned them but they are just about full grown now. The pond looks disgusting with hardly any water and much mud but it seems they are finding plenty to eat in it. And there are only 10 ducklings.
I had a bad experience once where there were about a dozen ducklings and something happened to their mother--they were fairly old and managed on their own, but every night, a fox picked one of them off util none were left at all--so I hope the manage to avoid that fate!!!
I went to see the ducks yesterday and there were only 5 left. I couldn't see any evidence of feathers etc or fox footprints in the mud. I am hoping they are simply old enough to fly away and some have gone off to find richer pickings where there is more water.
Hope your mum is OK. Mine was great (mentally that is). She had a fall 2 weeks ago and still has a big bruise on her face. I took her shopping and she gets so out of breath just half way round the little store. She has to keep sitting in a chair. (They have plenty for all their older customers) She had a big day out in the week to a show on Cromer Pier but it poured of rain and they had to rush down to the theatre then it was so packed there were no chairs in the foyer but someone went and asked the manager who got her one. So she was so done in by her one day out that week that she didn't want to even take a trip to see the sea with me. She hasn't seen the sea yet this year as because of the rain she didn't even see it from the pier.
WE went to see her today and she was pretty good cnsidering. I'll post a picture maybe. Hope your Mum gets to see the sea. Mine probably never will again!

It has rained this afternoon so fingers crossed. Also I am wondering when they will leave.

I certainly hope thaat's the case and if so, that the others also leave soon for a better, safer spot.
