Wind Outtake: Sailboats at Pier Park

Wind Outtake: Sailboats at Pier Park, Lake St. Clair, Michigan, photo by Mary Stebbins Taitt. Here's one with three boats. I do not have time right now to remove all the wretched sensor spots, so I may repost this if I have time later. I did nothing to it but adjust the levels slightly. I took this last night (6-15). We have lots of sailboats, but I can't get close to them. I have lots more but because of the sensor spots, they take a lot of time to properly prepare. Posted by Picasa

I'm not a big flag person, but I liked the way this looked against the building. Posted by Picasa

Orange: Federal Building Aurora

Orange: Federal Building Aurora, by Mary Taitt. Click images to see larger. These are actual photographs of an aurora art installation at the Federal building in Detroit where we went to get our marriage license. The bottom part is made of glass and the part at the top is light on the ceiling carried up through the glass from below. I inverted the pictures (because otherwise the ceiling was white or buff-colored and didn't look as much like an aurora in the night sky.) Posted by Picasa

Orange: Daylily at Sunset

Orange: Daylily at Sunset, by Mary Taitt, click image to view larger. I took this last night at sunset and did NOT fool with the color at all, it was from the golden light of sunset. I cropped it slightly to make the ornage be a little more a dominant part of the picture. Taken with my 300 mm zoom lens which I had just put on for birds. (I may post this to BP tomorrow). Posted by Picasa
