abandonment #2

waiting for a new family, abandonded for the winter. Many of the famr fence lines have these little home made bird houses for the wee folk in the spring. I probably should have used fill flash to lighten up the front..... it looked to me like it was really waiting for someone or something to come.......

I like this a lot. Is this for the official day? Let me know and I will move it.

I like this a lot, exactly as presented and probably would NOT want a fill flash--though it might have been worth trying for comparison.

I might want to play with the levels and or make it a little more contrasty. What I like to do is:

1)make a copy
2)experiment with levels and other effects and then
3)compare it to the original and choose the one I like best

It may seem like a lot of work, but if the end results are mostly good, it is worth it--to me anyway.

I took a BP course with Bryan Peterson and he says digital camera are still not up to par to film cameras and EVERY PICTURE (98% of them) needs to be slightly saturated and have the levels adjusted.

So I do not feel that I am "ruining" the original photo if I do that.

I like the subject and composition here and I like the foggy background--I don't know if levels or saturation would help the picture or not--I'd only TRY it.

I do like it a lot JUST AS IT IS!

Mary :-)
